Abuja, Nigeria – A new book, “The INEC Press Corps: Chronicles of Nigeria’s Election Journalists,” is set to premiere on December 5, 2025, offering a unique perspective on Nigeria’s electoral process through the eyes of election correspondents.
Authored by Segun Ojumu, Chairman of the INEC Press Corps, the book highlights the crucial role of journalists in ensuring transparent and verifiable electoral outcomes, often at great personal risk.
The launch, taking place at The Electoral Institute, INEC, coincides with a critical period in Nigeria’s electoral calendar, ahead of key elections in 2026, including the FCT Area Council elections and governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun States.
Dignitaries expected to attend include INEC officials, political leaders, and civil society representatives, underscoring the significance of the event in Nigeria’s democratic landscape.
