SCAM ALERT: NiMet Not Recruiting

Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet). has cautioned against an ongoing recruitment exercise published in the Media and credited to NiMet.

A press statement signed by the General Manager, Public Relations, Muntari Yusuf Ibrahim on Wednesday read in part:

“Our attention has been drawn to an online recruitment site that published an on going recruitment exercise credited to Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet).

“The Management is using this medium to issue a disclaimer and to inform the general public that NiMet has not embarked on any recruitment exercise.

“If or when such an exercise will be carried out, it will be done through the right channel and the general public will be duly informed through our social media handles.

“NiMet is also using this medium to advise the unsuspecting job seekers and indeed the general public to be wary and not fall prey to scammers.
