Rev. Otu appreciates NNRH for quality service delivery in the State

The Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital (NNRH) in Calabar have been commended for providing prompt, effective and efficient service delivery to Cross River State citizens.
This was according to the First Lady of Cross River State, Rev.Mrs Eyoanwan Bassey Otu who visited today the hospital earlier today.
Rev. Otu, who was accompanied by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Egbe Ayuk, and other top government officials was received by the Commander of NNRH, Surgeon Captain D. I. Adebayo and other members of the hospital management team.
Rev. Otu, during her visit, had a tour of the hospital’s facilities, interacted with patients and staff and then wasted no time in commending the hospital for its high standards of care and its commitment to providing quality healthcare services to the people of Cross River State.
She said : “I am here to thank you for your effective and efficient health services offered to our people, to strengthen the relationship that had already existed, applaud you for all you’ve been doing and to beg of you that we hope to enjoy a better relationship than we used to have.”
She also thanked them for the prompt response to the destitute picked up earlier, saying, “I also want to thank you for your prompt response to the citizens who were victims of the bikers carnival accident last year, and the destitute representatives from my office brought here earlier.
I am proud of your achievements here. You have the relevant facilities needed for quality service delivery, and in the real sense of the word, we don’t have any business going to any other place, because you have more than enough to take care of us.”
Rev. Otu also presented the hospital with a souvenir in recognition of its outstanding service.
In her speech, Surgeon Captain Adebayo thanked Rev. Otu for her visit, saying that the hospital was committed to providing the best possible care to all of its patients in line with international best practices, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status.
She also indicated that the hospital is appropriately equipped with standard equipment to deliver affordable and reliable health care services. Adding that a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital to enhance health care delivery in the state.
The Commissioner of Health, Dr Egbe Ayuk, lauded the role played by the Nigerian Navy Hospital in the state since it was commissioned and pleaded for a more robust relationship with the State Government.
Rev. Otu’s visit to the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital is a testament to the hospital’s commitment to providing quality healthcare services to the people of Cross River State.
