Prof. Adesugba Elected National Vice President of NACCIMA (India Desk) at Ongoing Quarterly EXCO and Council Meeting

The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has announced the election of Prof. Adesoji Adesugba, the 1st Deputy President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), as the new National Vice President in charge of the Association’s India portfolio.
The announcement was made by the National President of NACCIMA, Engr. Dr. Jani Ibrahim, during the ongoing Fourth Quarterly Executive Committee and Council Meeting. Prof. Adesugba assumes the role following the resignation of Dr. Idi Hong, who previously occupied the position.
In the official communication signed by the Director General of NACCIMA, Engr. Olushola Obadimu, FNSE, FCIoD, the Association affirmed that Prof. Adesugba’s elevation is a testament to the confidence reposed in his leadership, dedication, and contributions to the growth of the chamber movement in Nigeria.
According to the letter, “Your election to this office is a clear testimony of the confidence members of the Association have in your ability to continue your contributions to the sustainable growth and development of the Association. We have no doubt that you will bring your wealth of experience to bear on the activities of the Association for positive transformation.”
As National Vice President overseeing the India Desk, Prof. Adesugba will be responsible for driving trade initiatives and strengthening institutional relationships between NACCIMA and its counterparts in India, an engagement expected to boost bilateral commercial activities and open new windows of opportunity for Nigerian businesses.
Engr. Dr. Ibrahim congratulated Prof. Adesugba on his new role, noting that his extensive experience in investment promotion, trade facilitation, and institutional development will play a critical role in enhancing NACCIMA’s strategic direction as the country’s foremost chamber body.
The Director General of ACCI, Mr. Agabaidu Jideani, also commended the development, describing Prof. Adesugba as a committed leader whose record of service continues to inspire excellence.
“The ACCI family is proud of Prof. Adesugba. With his deep expertise and commitment to economic growth, we are confident that he will bring positive change to NACCIMA,” Jideani stated, adding that the Chamber wishes him a successful and impactful tenure.
Prof. Adesugba’s election marks yet another milestone for the ACCI leadership as the Chamber continues to make significant contributions to national economic discourse through its leaders holding strategic positions within the organised private sector.
