Omosola Akingboye Elected Chairman of Association of Corporate Online Editors

The Association of Corporate Online Editors (ACOE), has elected Omosola Akingboye as its new Chairman, along with eight other executive members, to lead the association for a three-year tenure. The election was held on May 30, 2025, at the FCT NUJ Council.


The newly elected executive members are:

  • Chairman: Omosola Akingboye
  • Vice Chairman: Khadijat Ameen
  • General Secretary: Queen Kunde
  • Assistant Secretary: Peace Ofeoshi
  • Treasurer: Lady Joy Odor
  • Financial Secretary: Augustine Ehikioya
  • Welfare Officer: Chidiebere Ugwu
  • PRO: Gbemiga Olamikan
  • Provost: Moses Akwashiki

Giving words of the Representative of the FCT NUJ Council, Ms. Joy Udem who administered the Oath of Office, charged the newly elected executives to excel in the industry with good leadership and uphold journalism standards. Again, she commended the gender inclusion in the executive, noting that women occupied key positions.


In his acceptance speech, Chairman Omosola Akingboye thanked members for the honor and assured that the association would move forward under his leadership. He promised to work together with other executive members to achieve the association’s goals and uplift the standard of journalism.
