Nigerian Born Dr. Salamatu Jidda-Fada Appointed to Eryri National Park Authority

Renowned conservation biologist and climate action expert, Dr. Salamatu Jidda-Fada, has been appointed as a Member of the Eryri National Park Authority in North Wales, United Kingdom, as confirmed by the Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Climate Change and Rural Affairs on March 18, 2025.
With over 20 years of experience in academia, non-profit, and international consultancy, Dr. Jidda-Fada brings a wealth of expertise to the role. Her pioneering research on vegetation change in West and East Africa has garnered recognition and funding from the International Foundation of Science and the Nigerian Government.¹
As the founder of JAVS Environmental Care Ltd., Dr. Jidda-Fada provides high-level consultancy in conservation and environmental management globally. She is also an active leader in the UK and international communities, serving as a Councillor for Bangor City Council, Vice Chair of Adult Learning Wales, and Deputy Director of the Anthony Nyong Climate Centre of Excellence at the University of Jos, Nigeria.
