Nigerian Army To Combat Illegal Maritime Activities with Training for Officers

The 13 Brigade Nigerian Army has scheduled to conduct a field training codenamed exercise “Still Waters 2″ in Cross River State, South-South Nigeria.

In a press statement signed by the Assistant Director Army Public Relations, Captain Dorcas Aluko, the training which will last for nine weeks will begin on October 5 and end on December 23, 2022.

According to the release, “the exercise is aimed at decisively tackling various criminal activities such as oil bunkering, militancy and kidnapping amongst others, in various parts of the state.
“The exercise will feature troops of 13 Brigade Nigerian Army and personnel from other sister security agencies in the State. It is important to mention that the exercise would also witness movement of large numbers of troops, military armaments and other heavy equipments throughout its duration,”.

Aluko requested the public to go about their lawful duties without any fears, as the Brigade remains committed to achieving lasting peace and security in the State.
