Nigeria Launches Ambitious Youth Empowerment Plan to Reverse Decades of Neglect

Nigeria’s Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Olawande, has unveiled a comprehensive plan to empower the country’s youth, aiming to reverse decades of neglect. The minister emphasized that it’s “time for the youth to progress” after being overlooked for over 40 years.
This was disclosed yesterday during a Media parley of Federal Ministry of Youth Development with Journalists led by the Honorable Minister of Youth Department, Comrade Ayodele Olawande.
The ambitious roadmap includes several bold initiatives, such as:
Youth Bank: Providing financial support to young entrepreneurs.
Youth Trust Fund: Offering resources and funding for youth development projects
Nigerian Youth Academy: An online learning platform, similar to Coursera, launching in January to provide quality education and skill acquisition.
Nigerian Youth Help Desk: A support system for young people to access information and resources</span;>
One Youth 2 Skills program: Focusing on equipping youths with multiple skills for employability and entrepreneurship</span;>
Greenhouses in every local government: Empowering young entrepreneurs to produce goods from local raw materials, promoting self-reliant economies</span;>
Youth Activities Dashboard: An interactive platform for transparency and accurate information on government initiatives targeting youth empowerment.
Olawande commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing a youth to head the Ministry of Youth Development, symbolizing a new dawn for Nigeria’s youth. He urged young people to reject political distractions and seize the opportunities being created.
