Nigeria Felicitates with Kenya on its Independence Anniversary

The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar has conveyed heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Kenya, as the country celebrates its Independence Anniversary.
Kenya’s Independence Day, widely known as Jamhuri Day, reflects the remarkable determination and collective resolve of the Kenyan people in shaping a sovereign, peaceful, and progressive nation.
“As Nigeria joins Kenya in commemorating this significant national event, we underscore our shared dedication to democratic ideals, regional cooperation, and the promotion of sustainable development across Africa.
“Relations between Nigeria and Kenya continue to flourish through constructive engagements in trade, technology, education, transport, and security. Both countries also collaborate closely in the African Union (AU), the United Nations (UN), the Commonwealth, and various international mechanisms aimed at strengthening peace, improving governance, and fostering inclusive growth on the continent.
“On this notable occasion, Nigeria reaffirms its commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation with Kenya, broadening partnership opportunities, and deepening ties between our peoples. Nigeria remains fully prepared to work hand in hand with Kenya in addressing emerging global challenges and advancing the collective aspirations of the African continent.
“Nigeria once again extends warm felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic of Kenya and wishes them continued peace, unity, and national prosperity.
