Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Donald Trump on his inauguration as the 47th President of the United States, praising the American people’s commitment to democracy.
In a press statement made available to News Dot Africa, the Acting Spokesperson of the Ministry, Mr Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa expressed optimism about fostering economic cooperation, promoting peace, and addressing global challenges that affect citizens of both nations.
In a similar vein, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja released a statement congratulating President Trump on his inauguration. The statement highlighted the strong strategic partnership between Nigeria and the US, particularly in areas like good governance, sustainable development, and counter-terrorism.
The also noted that Nigeria is looking forward to strengthening this partnership, which has benefited both countries. The statement emphasized the importance of cooperation in promoting mutual interests and addressing global challenges.
