Nigeria Congratulates Equatorial Guinea on Independence Anniversary

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria has extended warm congratulations to the Republic of Equatorial Guinea on its Independence Anniversary. In a press release signed by the Spokesperson, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, expressed Nigeria’s solidarity with the people of Equatorial Guinea, celebrating their resilience, unity, and progress.

Nigeria joins Equatorial Guinea in marking this significant milestone, acknowledging the nation’s unwavering commitment to national development and stability.

The two countries enjoy cordial and longstanding relations built on shared values, geographical proximity, and mutual cooperation.

Nigeria reaffirms its commitment to deepening bilateral collaboration with Equatorial Guinea in various sectors, including: Enhancing cooperation in the energy sector to promote economic growth; Strengthening trade ties to increase economic cooperation and investment; Collaborating to ensure the security of maritime routes and promote regional stability; Promoting educational exchanges and cooperation to enhance human capital development; Fostering regional integration through platforms like the Gulf of Guinea Commission and the African Union.

According to Tuggar, Nigeria looks forward to strengthening its enduring ties with Equatorial Guinea in support of shared aspirations for stability, prosperity, and sustainable development across Africa.
