NGO Congratulates Tuface Idibia On His Appointment As Ambassador Of The UNHCR

A foremost NGO, Innovative Improvement of Livelihood of West Africa Largest Refugees Settlement (IIWARLS), an NGO, has congratulated the top ranking Nigerian musician, Mr Innocent Ujah Idibia, (aka Tuface), on his appointment as the Ambassador Of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCRI).
In a release made available to NEWS DOT AFRICA, the
Project Coordinator, Ikponmwosa O. Success said that the appointment did not come to the group as a surprise.
IIWARLS Coordinator stated,
“I, on behalf of the Project Management Team and the entire members of Innovative Improvement of Livelihood of West Africa Largest Refugees Settlement (IIWARLS), a project powered by a conglomeration of NGOs and other corporate Organizations under the auspices of the above named Charity and Humanitarian Fund heartily congratulates you on your well deserved appointment as a global Goodwill Ambassador for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.
“It is pertinent to note that your appointment to this exalted position did not come to us as a surprise giving your antecedents in providing succour to the vulnerable and the less privileged members of the society especially the Refugees and IDPs in Nigeria and Africa. It is no doubt you have made Nigeria and Nigerians proud by your overwhelming and immeasurable activities being a steadfast supporter of the UNHCR “LuQuLuQu Campaign since its inception to support uplifting the narrative of the African refugees. As an Afropop music legend, you have given your voice to refugees and IDPs causes that had resulted to this greater height attained.
Mr. Success therefore prayed that God grant the Ambassador the wisdom to discharge the incumbent associated to his new office doggedly just as he would do always.
Stating further, he stressed that, the NGO is open for partnership with the office of His Excellency, “Innovative Improvement of Livelihood of West Africa Largest Refugees Settlements would partner with Ambassador Tuface’s new office to ensure maximum positive impacts on refugees within Cameroon and Nigeria.
Mr Success said their objectives among others are to initiate institutionalised innovative measures that will enhance the economic turnaround of refugees and IDPs in West Africa, improve the livelihood of Refugees and IDPs, Improve healthcare system, job creation and economic resuscitation of the refugees as well as guarantee them a secured and better future; and above all reposition refugees as potential global economic actors with our impact driven initiatives.
“In addition, we intend to leverage on the available raw materials in each refugees settlements in tandem with the indigenous innovations as well as local technologies to adequately and efficiently transform the livelihood of both the Nigerian and Cameroonian refugees”, he concluded..
