NEW ERA IN EDO STATE: Ogbona Diaspora Congratulates Governor Okphebolo

The Ogbona Diaspora in the Americas, a cultural and charitable organization based in the United States, has congratulated Governor Monday Okphebolo on his ascension to the government of Edo State . This milestone marks the beginning of a new era for the “Heartbeat of the Nation,” with high expectations for progress and development.

In a statement co-signed by Dr. Charles E. Orbih, President, Ogbona Diaspora and Captain Frank Asapokhai, Secretary, Ogbona Diaspora, noted that; “Campaigning is over, now is time to govern. As the “Heartbeat of the Nation,” it is time for Edo State to achieve greater heights under your leadership. Your commitment to the people of Edo State should be paramount during this first term, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact of your policies and initiatives.”

The organization highlighted three crucial areas for Governor Okphebolo’s administration to prioritize:

Economic Development: Leveraging the state’s natural resources and cultural heritage to drive growth and job creation.
Infrastructure Development: Upgrading roads, healthcare facilities, clean water, electricity and education infrastructure to improve the quality of life.

Security and Safety: Ensuring the protection of lives and property through effective law enforcement and community engagement.

The Ogbona Diaspora in the Americas expressed its willingness to partner with Governor Okphebolo’s administration to identify areas of cooperation for the development of Ogbona community and Edo State as a whole. This collaboration aims to galvanize human and material resources for the betterment of the state.
