NDDC delivers palliatives to Cross River State

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has delivered palliatives for Cross River State.

This was facilitated by Rt. Hon. Orok Duke, Representative of Cross River at the NDDC Board and received by him on Friday, April 19, 2024 in Calabar.

Newsdotafrica gathered that the palliatives are to cushion the devastating effects of flooding and the harsh economic situation on the people of Cross River and to ensure the state is not shortchanged in the allocation of resources and goods within the Commission.

The palliatives to be distributed include bags of rice, bags of beans, sewing machines, toiletries, flip-flops, cartons of tomato pastes, blankets, mattresses, packs of vegetable oils, insecticide nets, and cartons of tea.

Others are wheelbarrows, knapsack sprayers, disinfectants, packs of assorted beverages, toothpaste, insecticides, flashlights, cartons of seasoning cubes, cartons of noodles, bags of salt, among others.

There is no stipulated date for the distribution of the palliatives will be distributed and where they will be distributed.
