Manchester United gets new manager

Dutchman Eric Ten Haag has been confirmed as the new manager of Manchester United in a deal that will see him last till 2025 with an option to extend for another year.
Ten Haag, who has been at Ajax for four years won the league double in 2018-2019 and 2020- 2021. His side lost the 2022 cup final on Sunday to PSV but are set to win another league title this season.
An agreement has been reached to pay Ten Hag’s €2m release clause and it is understood the 52-year-old has been granted a key demand: to be allowed the final decision on transfers together with the club executive.
He considers the job an honour and says his primary job will be to take Manchester United back to the competitive level we know the team to be.
He thanked Ajax for the memories and he will surely miss them.
