The professional departmental mandates are components of the overall mandates of the Ministry. Every professional department performs a segment or more of the Ministry’s general mandates.  Consequently, inadequate knowledge of the workings of these departments, which embody the essence of the Ministry, would invariably lead to unsatisfactory reportage of their activities, and ultimately the Ministry’s mandates.”

She said to equip Labour correspondents, with the necessary background information is integral to balanced, in-depth and impactful reportage, adding that the workshop is expected to scale up and update your knowledge of aspect of the Ministry’s mandates, for a corresponding effective and qualitative reportage on it.
