IOO Years of Aviation in Nigeria: Stakeholders Praise President and Minister for Transformative Support

The aviation industry has expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Minister of Aviation for their support, describing it as unprecedented.

Speaking at the 100 years of Aviation Celebration, Peace Onyema, a leader of the Airlines Operators of Nigeria (AON), praised the President’s appointment of the Minister, saying it has brought significant improvements to the industry.

Onyema and other Stakeholders highlighted the challenges faced by Nigerian airlines in the past, including a demonised status and lack of faith from the country, but noted that the current administration has brought a change, with the Minister working tirelessly to improve the sector.

The industry leaders are set to meet with the National Assembly to discuss taxation issues affecting airlines, seeking the President’s intervention to prevent the sector’s collapse.
