Hon. Odey Commiserates with Former Aviation Commissioner Over Wife’s Demise

The Deputy Governor of Cross River State , Rt. Hon. Peter Odey has commiserated with the former Aviation Commissioner, Chief Jake Otu Enyia over the recent demise of his dear wife, Christiana, who passed on to eternity on Monday, July 10, 2023.

In a condolence message to the Boki-born scholar and politician, Rt. Hon. Odey expressed sadness at the unfortunate occurrence of the passage of Mrs. Christiana Enyia, describing her as “an extraordinary woman with numerous talents and virtues, whose achievements as a chartered accountant, unwavering devotion to her faith, activism in the political arena, role as a women mobilizer and mentorship of countless individuals all reflect her deep commitment and fervor which created positive impact across different spheres of life,” adding that “her diverse contributions to society stand as eloquent testimonies of her dedication and passion for the betterment of mankind.”

Odey added regretfully that “As a caring wife and mother, her love for her family was evident to all who knew her. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support undoubtedly played a significant role in shaping the lives of her loved ones. All who had the privilege of knowing her will feel the void of her passing”.

Describing the loss of a beloved spouse as an immense burden to bear, the Deputy Governor admonished the two-time State Assembly lawmaker to take solace in the cherished memories he shared with his Late Wife, while praying for the fortitude for him and his family to deal with the pain of the monumental loss.

Rt. Hon. Odey concluded with prayer for the soul of Mrs. Christiana Otu Enyia to find rest in the bosom of the Lord.
