Hon Ngaji loses representatives seat to Offiono

The seating House of Representatives Member of the Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency, Hon. Jude Ngaji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost his seat to Godwin Offiono of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the Saturday, February 25, 2023 National Assembly Election.

Offiono defeated Ngaji by polling a total of 36,642 votes with Ngaji amassing 32,964 votes to win a very tight race for the Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency seat.

Declaring the winner, the returning officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer, Dr Wokaso Eni Ofem, said “…I hereby certified that, Offiono Godwin Odey Ekpo of PDP, having satisfied the requirements of the law is hereby declared winner and returned elected”.

Offiono will represent the people of Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency in the Green Chambers of the National Assembly for the next 4 years.
