Foreign Affairs Minister, Tuggar Appoints Ambassador Ahmed Sule as Special Assistant

The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, has appointed Ambassador Ahmed Sule as Special Assistant on Diplomacy and Foreign Relations. This appointment is a strategic move to leverage Ambassador Sule’s wealth of experience in implementing the Minister’s foreign policy drive.

Ambassador Sule boasts an impressive career spanning over 30 years, with a strong background in diplomacy. A Political Science graduate from Bayero University, Kano, he has worked in various capacities within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja. His diplomatic postings include the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations, New York, USA; the Embassy of Nigeria, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; and the High Commission of Nigeria, Ottawa, Canada.

Notably, Ambassador Sule served as the Acting High Commissioner of Nigeria in London, United Kingdom, and was appointed Principal Envoy of Nigeria to the Republic of India with concurrent accreditation to Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal by President Mohammadu Buhari in 2021.
