FNAC2: Amb Uko Calls For Improvement In Agricultural Practices, Standardization

The Travel Expert, Organiser of Akwaaba African Travel Market and Founder of Aviacargo Project, Ambassador Ikechi Uko presented a paper Tuesday, 16th May 2023, during the 2nd day of the FNAC2 titled “Operations Through Development of Agriculture and Natural Resources in Nigeria.”
With relevant facts and figures, Amb Ukoh revealed that Nigerian export base is very low and many of the few exports were rejected by the same countries we want to meet their standards. He noted Nigeria, even being the largest in terms of various agricultural production lack access to international market and as well not in Frontline in term of exportation, because we lack standards.
He further suggests that it is because most Nigerians produce lack means of transportation (logistics) and also lack of Globally accepted Standards and certification.
Ambassador Ikechi Uko made reference to the import and export section in Nigeria, as he commended the import section and called on the export zone to improve in their packaging techniques in order to meet what the world is used to and as to present a quality Nigeria standard to gain respect.
He advised stakeholders to look inwards by setting our own standards.
He urged panelists to put more effort and make positive contribution as the country has a lot to do in other to sustain the Aviation industry.
The theme of this years FNAC2 Conference is, “SUSTAINABILITY OF THE AVIATION INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA.”
