Finance Top Management Holds Valedictory Session for Mr. Okokon Ekanem Udo

In a heartfelt tribute, the Top Management Staff of the Federal Ministry of Finance, Abuja, today bid farewell to a dedicated public servant, Mr. Okokon Ekanem Udo, Permanent Secretary Special Duties, as he prepares to retire from the Federal Civil Service.
The Valedictory Session, led by the Permanent Secretary Finance, Mrs. Lydia Shehu Jafiya, celebrated Mr. Udo’s remarkable career and invaluable contributions to the Ministry and the nation.
She explained that the valedictory session was imperative as Mr Udo was attending the last Top Management meeting before his retirement next week.

The Management Staff of the Ministry poured encomiums on Mr. Udo, commending his strict adherence to rules and regulations, especially in the conduct of government businesses as well as his highest degree of professionalism. *Your guidance and unwavering support have been a beacon of hope. Your departure leaves a void, but we are confident that your legacy will continue to shape our work,* they said.
In his response, Mr. Udo expressed deep gratitude for the kind words and sentiments. “I am honoured to have served this great nation and contributed to the development of our economy. I am proud of what we have achieved together, and I am confident that the Ministry will continue to thrive and excel in the years to come,”he said
The Outgoing Permanent Secretary thanked everyone for their support, collaboration, and friendship throughout his career, saying, *I look forward to a happy and fulfilling retirement, I am also excited to explore new opportunities to serve the nation in different capacities. Thank you once again, and may God bless our nation,* Mr. Udo added
