FG Commissions Rebuilt Kano Digital Industrial Park to Boost Youth Empowerment

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has commissioned the fully restored Kano Digital Industrial Park, a key initiative under the Federal Government’s 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program. This project aims to equip Nigerians with globally competitive digital skills, promoting inclusive digital growth and youth empowerment.

The park was restored after being vandalized during the August 2024 protests, thanks to the generous intervention of IHS Nigeria.

According NCC the facility will provide training labs, power and connectivity infrastructure, and digital equipment to support thousands of learners across Northern Nigeria.

The event highlights the power of public-private partnerships in driving digital development and innovation in Nigeria as the Federal Government reaffirms its commitment to creating a thriving digital ecosystem, with the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, emphasizing the importance of digital skills for young Nigerians.

Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, Dr Aminu Maida highlighted the park’s strategic importance in accelerating ICT innovation and empowering digital pioneers.

Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo expressed gratitude for the partnership and reaffirmed the state’s digital ambition.

Chief Operating Officer of IHS Nigeria, Mr. Kazeem Oladepo reiterated the company’s commitment to advancing Nigeria’s digital future.
