Ekpeye Advocacy Group Chides Fubura for Distorting Facts

The Ekpeye Advocacy Group in Rivers State is calling out Governor Siminalayi Fubara for allegedly distorting facts about the murder of SP Bako Amgbashim. According to the group, Fubara claimed that Ekpeye kings were arrested and persecuted for supporting him, but the group says this is a lie.
This was contained in a statement jointly signed by Olimini Chinuzoke
(Convener), Nnamdi Ezebalike
(Director Publicity) stating his numerous distortions linking the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike.
Apparently irked by this ugly trend, the group decided to put the records straight via a rebuttal pointed out that the murder occurred on September 9, 2023, while Fubara’s political ordeal happened on October 30, 2023, two months after the Ekpeye kings were arrested. They also accuse Fubara of trivializing the murder and other heinous crimes in Ekpeye, which have continued to occur despite the killing of the alleged perpetrator, 2Baba.
The group lists over 20 gruesome murders that have occurred in Ekpeye in the past two months, including the killing of a paramount ruler and a youth leader. They also express concern that known cultists and murderers were allocated councilorship slots in the recent local government elections, which they believe will embolden them to continue their violent activities.
Overall, the Ekpeye Advocacy Group is urging Fubara to stop distorting facts and to take action to address the ongoing insecurity in Ekpeye.
