CRS GUBER 2023: A matter of turn, I stand for the South- Ayade

Cross River State State Governor, Sen Prof Ben Ayade has finally spoken on the issue of handing over power to the Southern Senatorial District of Cross River State, stating that it’s a matter of turn.
Recall that there has been opinions and counter opinions in the past few weeks over the pattern of determining who the next Governor will be with Northern Central part of the State pushing for a merit system over zoning formula that has been used since 1999.
‘It is a matter of fairness and equity”… Said Ayade. ‘We need to understand that to this is how the system works and it is better that way’… The Governor added
It is worthy to note that 2023 will begin a new a new political cycle in the State with every Constituency producing a Governor since 1999 in Cross River State but some quarters have been pushing for a merit system as opposed to the Zoning formula.
‘I stand for the south!’ and enthusiastic Ben Ayade remarked. This means that His Excellency has finally put the matter to bed as regards who the format yo be used in determining the next Governor.
