COVID -19 VACCINES: Gov Masari, wife, Deputy takes jab in Katsina

THE Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, his wife, Hadiza, elder sister and his Deputy, Maniru Yakubu together with some key members of his cabinet, took turns to receive their COVID-19 jabs.

It was part of activities marking the flagging off of the administration of the COVID-19 vaccines in the state.

Speaking at the event, Masari assured the citizens that the flagging off exercise well ensure the end of the pandemic in the state and the country.

“With the coming of the Vaccines to Katsina State, we can see the end of COVID-19 in Nigeria”. I call on our people to come out and go to any center nearest to them to register and take the jabs so that we can jointly and the pandemic in the state”.

“ We are used to inoculations and other forms of immunizations, this is not new to us, every leading government officials including President Buhari have taken the jabs, so there is nothing to fear”.

Earlier the Commissioner for Health, Engineer Yakubu Danja while commending the epoch making exercise and said that the state received a total of 107,540 doses of Vaccines whose expiry date is July 10th, 2021, noting that the state through the Primary Health Care Development Agency has the capacity to keep the Vaccines within the required temperature.

He further disclosed that 13926 Frontline health workers and other strategic leaders and traditional rulers are expected to be the second batch to receive shots.
