Apostolic Round Table Leader Responds to Postponement of Nigeria National Halal Economy Strategy Launch

The Convener of the Apostolic Round Table, Citizen Bolaji O. Akinyemi, has issued a statement in response to the postponement of the Nigeria National Halal Economy Strategy launch. In the statement, Akinyemi appreciates the efforts of various stakeholders, including religious leaders and government officials, who contributed to the decision to postpone the event.

Akinyemi expresses gratitude to the Special Assistant Project Support, Office of The Vice President, and the Dar Al Halal Nigeria Limited Team for their thoughtful communication regarding the postponement.

He acknowledges the interventions of His Lordship, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, and His Excellency, the Vice President, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, GCON, in calming tensions and promoting mutual understanding.

Akinyemi encourages deeper consultation with relevant faith and civic communities to ensure shared understanding and collective ownership of the concept.

He reaffirms the commitment to national unity, mutual respect, and balanced policy, emphasizing that prosperity should be advanced for all Nigerians without ethnic or religious prejudice.

“Let us see this moment not as a setback, but as an opportunity to strengthen the bridges of trust across faiths, cultures, and convictions. To a better and greater Nigeria for all, we reaffirm our commitment”, Akinyemi’s stated.
