Africa Food Heroes Awards to Honor Eminent Personalities in Agriculture, Food Security

The Center for Agropreneurship and Green Economy is set to host the Africa Food Heroes Awards tomorrow, November 20, 2024, by 4 pm at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Center in Abuja.

The prestigious award ceremony will recognize and celebrate the outstanding contributions of eminent personalities in the areas of agriculture and food security in Nigeria.

The awardees include several state governors who have made significant strides in promoting agriculture and food security in their respective states. The governors of Cross River State, Osun, Akwa-Ibom, Jigawa, Bauchi, Nasarawa, Benue, Niger, and Ebonyi states will be honored for their efforts.

Other notable awardees include the Minister for Agriculture, Senator Abubakar Kyari, Prof. John Kennedy Opara, Dr. Michael Onuoha, Alh. Aminu Goronyo and Amb. Florence Edwards, among others.

The Africa Food Heroes Awards aims to promote sustainable agricultural practices, recognize innovation, and encourage others to work towards improving food security in Nigeria and beyond.
