ACCI President Felicitates Nigerians on the 33rd Democracy Day Anniversary

As Nigeria marks the 33rd anniversary of Democracy Day, the President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Chief Emeka Obegolu, SAN, PhD, joins millions of Nigerians in celebrating this important milestone in our nation’s democratic journey.
According to the ACCI President, Democracy Day is a time to reflect on the sacrifices of our heroes past whose courage and commitment laid the foundation for the freedoms and democratic values we enjoy today. He urged citizens to continue promoting unity, peace, and mutual respect as essential pillars for national development.
Chief Obegolu emphasized that peace and security remain critical to economic growth and investment attraction. He noted that a nation characterized by peaceful coexistence and stability naturally attracts investors, stimulates business activities, creates employment opportunities, and accelerates economic development.
While congratulating Nigerians on the occasion, he called on the Federal Government to intensify efforts toward addressing insurgency and other security challenges across the country by implementing lasting solutions that will foster national stability and unlock Nigeria’s vast economic potential.
He expressed optimism that with sustained peace, good governance, and collective commitment to nation-building, Nigeria will continue to grow and prosper for the benefit of all citizens.
On behalf of the Executive Committee members of the ACCI, Chief Obegolu who also doubled as the Leader of the Organised Private Sector (OPS) in the Federal Capital Territory and its environs wish Nigeria a Happy 33rd Democracy Day.
