A. A ZAURA FOUNDATION VISITS FCT NUJ COUNCIL, DONATES SANITIZERS, FACE MASKS
…… Says it is time to support the weak and the vulnerable.

The founder, A.A Zaura Foundation, Abdulsalam Abdulkarim Zaura, paid a visit to the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council on Thursday, April 8, 2021.
Zaura saluteded the courage and sagacity of citizens especially Journaliists, on the frontline workers trying to save lives and individuals who are playing strategic roles in ensuring that the Covid-19 pandemic does not spread faster than earlier predicted by experts. He expressed his concern on the survival of citizens and how his foundation can support as other philanthropist are doing.
“Today I pay solidarity visit to the NUJ, this great Union that is saddled with the primary duties of managing practitioners in the field of Journalism, a noble profession but less appreciated by our society.
“Gentlemen of the press, it is not by accident or fate that you have found yourself in this noble profession, you were born for it and today, we are in this room attending to official engagements.
“I am glad to be in your midst because every passing moment of my life is dedicated to research and findings on what can be done to impact on others positively”, he stated.
He disclosed that the Foundation has been involved in women and youth empowerment in Kano, Abuja and many other parts of the country and will be opening its portal to students in Kano in the next few weeks to access the Foundation’s scholarship scheme and enjoy the benefits of continuing with their dream careers and called on other wealthy Nigerians not to wait for e think about those not privileged and support them, adding that the government cannot shoulder the responsibility alone.
He the donated cartons of facemasks and hand sanitizers to the Council for distribution to Journaliists.
Speaking, the NUJ FCT Chairman, Emmanuel Ogbeche thanked the Foundation for finding the Union worthy of the good gesture, noting that journalists are on the frontline and his visit is helping to create awareness of how deadly the COVID-19 is.
He called fir more individuals emulate the good gesture of the foundation and assured Zaura that the Union will work together with the Foundation to impact Nigerians, adding that the media, especially NUJ FCT Council is solidly behind the Foundation in whatever endeavor it decides to undertake.
