NACCIMA, OPSN Condole Tinubu, NAF Over Ondo Aircraft Crash

The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), and the Organised Private Sector of Nigeria (OPSN), have expressed condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), and the families of victims of the aircraft crash near Igbokoda in Ondo State.
The crash, which occurred on Monday, October 5, 2026, reportedly claimed the lives of 32 people, throwing the nation into mourning.
In a condolence message, the National President of NACCIMA and Chairman of OPSN, Engr. (Dr.) Jani Ibrahim, mni, OON, expressed solidarity with President Tinubu, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, over what he described as a painful national loss.
“We stand with Mr President and the Armed Forces at this difficult time,” Ibrahim said.
He extended the organisations’ sympathies to the bereaved families, the Chief of the Air Staff, officers and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force, as well as others affected by the tragedy.
“Our deepest sympathies are with the bereaved families, the Chief of Air Staff and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force, and all others affected by the tragedy,” he said.
Ibrahim prayed that God would grant the affected families strength and comfort, while asking that the souls of those who died in the crash rest in peace.
NACCIMA and OPSN also commended the first responders and other personnel involved in the emergency response following the crash.
The two organisations reaffirmed their solidarity with the President, the Armed Forces and the Nigerian people during the period of national mourning.
