NACCIMA Delegation Visits Enugu Governor, Seeks Stronger Partnership on Trade and Investment

The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration with state governments to promote trade, investment, industrialisation and private-sector development across Nigeria.
The National President of NACCIMA, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, FNSE, FAEng., mni, OON, led a high-powered delegation of the Association on a courtesy visit to the Enugu State Governor, His Excellency Peter Mbah, at the Government House, Enugu, on Friday, September 18, 2026.
Governor Mbah received the NACCIMA delegation alongside members of his cabinet, including the Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Samuel Ogbu-Nwobodo.
The NACCIMA delegation included the 1st Deputy President, Alabo Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji, MD, FNIM, DSSRS, OON; 2nd Deputy President, Asiwaju (Dr.) Michael Olawale-Cole, CON, MFR, FNIM, CNIM, F.CIoD; Barr. Sam Otoboeze of Nsukka Chamber of Commerce; Dr. Chinyere Nwoga, President, Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce; and Engr. Olusola Obadimu, FNSE, FCIoD, among other officials.
The visit followed the successful conclusion of NACCIMA’s 3rd Quarter Executive Committee and Council Meetings held in Nsukka, Enugu State.
Discussions during the engagement focused on strengthening cooperation between NACCIMA and the Enugu State Government, with particular attention to trade facilitation, investment promotion, enterprise development, industrial growth and public-private sector partnerships.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for NACCIMA officials, representatives of the host Chamber and senior members of the Association’s Secretariat to engage with the state government on issues affecting the growth and competitiveness of businesses.
NACCIMA said the engagement underscored its commitment to building stronger partnerships with state governments and Chambers of Commerce as part of efforts to create a more conducive environment for businesses, attract investments and promote sustainable economic development.
The Association further emphasised the importance of continued public-private sector collaboration in unlocking opportunities for businesses and advancing economic growth across Nigeria.
