Trendsville Media to Hold AI Journalism Workshop for Media Partners, NACCIMA PROs

ATrendsville Media Limited has announced a one-day virtual media sensitisation workshop aimed at strengthening the capacity and professional development of media and communication practitioners in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The workshop, scheduled for September 24, 2026, will bring together the company’s media partners as well as Public Relations Officers (PROs) of State and City Chambers under the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).

Themed “Journalism in the Era of AI: Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Accurate and Responsible Reporting,” the virtual programme will focus on the opportunities and challenges presented by AI in journalism and communication practice.

According to Trendsville Media, the workshop is designed to build capacity, deepen participants’ knowledge, support professional development and encourage the exchange of ideas and experiences among media and communication professionals.

The resource persons for the workshop are Ismail Omipidan, Deputy Editor of The Sun Newspapers, and Man Wu, Chief Executive Officer of Beijing Qianzhan Technology Co. Ltd.

They are expected to examine how media and communication professionals can effectively harness AI tools to improve accuracy, efficiency and responsible reporting.

The organisers said the workshop would also provide participants with an opportunity to share their experiences, ideas and perspectives while seeking clarification on issues surrounding AI, media and communication practice.

Trendsville Media said a Google Form would be circulated ahead of the programme to ascertain the number of interested participants and their respective media platforms, thereby assisting preparations for the event.

The workshop will commence at 11:00 a.m. West Africa Time (WAT) and will be held via Zoom.
