ABIA: WHERE DIGNITY HAS BECOME CONTAGIOUS

Oru Leonard

We are all, in one way or another, divine deposits of grace to humanity. The value of our gifts and calling may be publicly acknowledged, but their expression is often dependent on the demands that individuals, communities, and nations respectfully place upon us.

The Scriptures remind us that there are wells of salvation and grace within us, meant to be drawn from, joyfully. Every opportunity to serve is, therefore, an opportunity to draw from those wells for the benefit of others.

It is in that spirit that my wife and I express our profound appreciation to His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti; the First Lady, Her Excellency Mrs. Priscilla Chidinma Otti; the Government; and the good people of Abia State.

The honour of your invitation is one we do not take for granted. We are deeply grateful for the warmth, thoughtfulness, care, and hospitality extended to us throughout our stay.

Beyond the visible projects and infrastructural improvements, we encountered something even more profound: a people whose joy has been restored. Abia is not merely working; joy has returned to Abarians, and that joy is contagious.

Every individual who attended to us, in whatever capacity, did so with genuine warmth and gladness. It was not service compelled by duty alone, but service inspired by dignity.

Indeed, dignity is the enduring product being delivered today by the Government and the people of Abia State.

We honour the good people of Abia State for embracing a new culture of hope, excellence, and responsible citizenship. We celebrate a leadership that understands that governance is ultimately about restoring the dignity of the human person.

To His Excellency, thank you for the honour. To the people of Abia State, thank you for the inspiration.

Our prayers and best wishes remain with you as you continue your journey to greater heights.

Abia to the Next Level!
