NCAA’s Achimugu Bags Leadership Award for Youth Impact, National Unity

The Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Michael Achimugu, has been recognised with the Vanguard of Good Leadership and Epitome of Hope award by the Council of Northern Youth Advocates of Nigeria.
The honour, conferred in Abuja, celebrates Achimugu’s contributions to youth development, national cohesion, and exemplary leadership.
Presenting the award, the group’s president, Mohammed Abdulrazaq, described the NCAA spokesperson as an inspiration to young Nigerians, noting his consistent advocacy for unity and inclusive engagement across the country.
The group praised his role in promoting leadership ideals and creating platforms that encourage youth participation in national discourse.
In his acceptance remarks, Achimugu expressed appreciation for the recognition, crediting the achievement to the collective efforts of his team and the guidance of the Minister of Aviation,
Festus Keyamo, as well as the Director-General of Civil Aviation, Chris Najomo.
He reaffirmed his dedication to effective service delivery and pledged to deepen collaboration with stakeholders to advance a safer, more secure, and passenger-friendly aviation industry.
The event drew the of key NCAA officials, including Senior Special Assistant to the DGCA and Head of Flight Operations and Adjudication, AbdulMalik Ifueko, and Head of Public Relations, Michael Otunumeruke, alongside other staff members who described the recognition as well deserved.
