The Place of Agreement is the Place of Power

Note the emphasis—POWER, not politics.

The Nigerian Church is losing its spiritual authority because it has drifted into political gamesmanship at the expense of scriptural alignment. Power in the Kingdom of God is not derived from numbers, influence, or strategy, but from agreement rooted in truth.

Scripture is clear:

“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” — Amos 3:3

“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” — Matthew 18:20

“Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” — Matthew 18:19

Heaven responds to agreement, not crowds. The early Church understood this pattern; their power flowed from unity of spirit, doctrine, and purpose—not from political alignment or tribal considerations.

We do not need multitudes to birth transformation. We need two or three who are yielded to Christ, aligned with His Word, and committed to His Kingdom agenda. Such agreement becomes a spiritual legislative force on earth.

However, this level of unity does not happen in silence or assumption. It is cultivated through intentional engagement and honest conversation. The Church must return to the table—listening, reasoning together, and seeking the mind of Christ.

Let the focus shift from political positioning to Kingdom alignment.
Let agreement be forged not around men, tribes, or parties, but around Christ and His purposes.

For where there is true agreement, there is undeniable power.

One of the Vessels of the Lord that should lead our engagements and conversations this season is Pastor Bosun Emmanuel, his prophecy preceded this season. As always, I received the attached broadcast from him, though, lengthy, but I commend everyone who is named by the name of Christ to painstakingly read.

*THE LAW OF DOUBLE REFERENCE*

_Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created_ (Ezekiel 28:12-13).

Bible scholars apply various laws in the interpretation and understanding of sacred texts. They include: the law of double reference, the law of first mention, the law of context, the law of covenant, and the law of progressive revelations. In this prayer call, focus shall be on the law of double reference. In Ezekiel 28:12-13, God directly mentions the king of Tyre, but it is evident that He was speaking to another entity. While a physical human was on the throne of Tyre, there was another entity on the throne with him, whom the naked eyes could not see. That same entity had been in Eden the garden of God, and was created with all manners of precious stones and musical instruments. In those few words, God described the beauty of Lucifer and his ministry of praises and worship. Whereas the primary and apparent reference was to a physical King of Tyre, the secondary and ultimate reference was to a spiritual personality.

This same law of double reference was demonstrated in Matt. 16:22-23 when the Lord sharply rebuked Peter with _”get thee behind me, Satan.”_ It was to Peter the Lord was speaking primarily, but the ultimate reference was to Satan. At that critical moment, even Peter was not aware that Satan had entered into him and had used his mouth to speak against the will of God. This serves as caution for Christians to exercise discernment in following people who say _“thus saith the Lord”._ Because God spoke through someone yesterday does not imply that God is speaking through them today. A few moments earlier, Jesus had commended Peter, that the Spirit of God spoke through him. The next moment, the Lord was casting the devil out of the same Peter. Satan likes using vessels that God has used before, because they have spiritual credibility.

The law of double reference should be of concern to Nigeria Christians in dealing with the crisis of governance in the country. There are certain acts of wickedness that human beings lack the capacity to undertake without the influence of demon spirits. What is going on in Nigeria transcends human wickedness and selfishness. The country is witnessing a manifestation of satanic cruelty occasioned by the determination and desperation of some politicians to hold on to power at all costs. In the process, they have contracted dark spiritual powers to dominate and suppress their fellow citizens. That desperation has led many of them into satanic covenants and obnoxious rituals and sacrifices. Satan grants their request and, in exchange, takes over their will and actions.

There are two categories of power-hungry Nigerians, with two different motives. On the one hand are the Fulanis who, based on their supremacist ideology, want to dominate Nigeria and transform it into their fiefdom. Their interest is in hostile racial take-over. On the other hand are politicians of the indigenous ethnic nationalities who covet power at all costs because it gives them unfettered access to the national treasury. They carry the DNA of the African tribal chief who believes that the village is his property, and everything and everyone lies as his bequest, to do as he wills. That mindset was the underlying reason African chiefs sold their people into slavery for bottles of gin, gunpowder, and _Ankara_ clothing material during the slave trade.

Both categories of power-hungry citizens traffick with powers of darkness to obtain and retain political power. The insecurity in Nigeria is one of the channels of servicing their blood covenants with Satan. The ongoing bloodshed in Nigeria is indirect human blood sacrifices to demons. That is one major reason there is no political will to end it. If the bloodshed stops, some people will lose political power. There are many dimensions to the ongoing insecurity in Nigeria.

To buttress this point, we shall review certain prophecies that God gave between 2013 and 2015 to the Messenger, concerning the political transition at that time.

• “… the people on the other camp have pooled resources together to send a company of 300 Imams to Saudi Arabia to raise divination and enchantment against the people of God concerning the 2015 election. Part of what they will do is to use prognostication to discover a candidate that has the best chance to succeed. They will impose him on the Nigerian space through divination and at the same time project strife and divisions in the camp of God’s people.”

• “My people have no discernment. Those that should seek Me and find out have lost their sight and vision and so they are seeing as mere men. The chambers of hell have recruited enough men, paid enough price through massive blood sacrifice and self-denial to hijack the process if there is an election.”

• “The sixth Chamber of hell is the Boardroom of hell. This is the place where Lucifer, the three other fallen principalities of his rank (Leviathan, Apollyon and Belial), the eight powers (lower angelic spirits – See Eph.6:12) with other chosen demonic spirits meet with men that are higher initiates in the occult to devise strategies for prolonging Satan’s rule on earth and entrenching the current world system. It is in this chamber that strategies are plotted to decide access to political and economic power at the highest level. The decisions as to who becomes the President of strategic nations are taken at this level. Also, decisions as to who heads important world organs like U.N., World Bank, I.M.F; etc are taken in this Chamber.”

The beneficiaries of these satanic transactions are the people currently ruling Nigeria. Because they are aligned with hell, all their policies have been painful and destructive, and nearly every institution, value system, and the economy of the country have collapsed. Satan works through those politicians to accomplish his three-fold objectives to steal, kill, and destroy.

The situation might have been remedied if God’s agent in the land – the Church – were properly aligned with Heaven. Unfortunately, the Church is led by many in the flesh, whose only interest in ministry is mammon. The greed of some prominent Church leaders in the country has made them unable to harmonise the Church to resist the wholesale takeover of the government of Nigeria by Satan and his forces. It has got so bad that some Christian leaders openly canvass support for Satan-aligned politicians. They see nothing wrong in what those politicians are doing, because birds of the same feather flock together. It has become easy to identify occult Christian leaders. No matter how much claim they lay to Christian spirituality, their politics has betrayed them. _”That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit”_ (John 3:6). No one, whose spirit and soul are opposed to Lucifer will support the current government in power. Its evil is glaring. _”Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”_ (Amos 3:3).

God has only one answer to Satan’s operations: the Church. In dealing with the insecurity and maladministration in the country, Christians should look beyond politicians and see the forces of Lucifer behind them. Intercessors need to focus prayers on the dark forces behind the politicians. The law of double reference teaches Christians to see beyond the physical and engage the spiritual entities behind the throne. Those spiritual entities have to be cast down before their agents can be restrained.

It is not sufficient to lament and pray against corruption, incompetence, and the recklessness of the present administration. Intercessors must engage the satanic forces behind it, in targeted and consistent warfare.

At present, most Christians are preparing for the next election in 2027. That is good, but it is not sufficient. If Satan is not cast down, he will continue to operate through the next government. Many people hoped that the expiration of the Buhari administration would provide relief for the country. Unfortunately, the forces behind the throne remained unshaken. Consequently, the country received a succeeding government that is, in all ramifications, a multiple times worse than Buhari. There is no option to spiritual warfare. Intercessors should change the pattern of prayers and focus on what is needful in this season. Instead of constantly asking forgiveness and mercy, both of which God has granted according to His word in 1 Jn. 1:9, intercessors should transit to spiritual warfare. That God has given the land to the saints does not preclude warfare to possess it. God told Israel in Deut. 2:24 _”behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.”_ If God had given the land, why did the people still need to contend in battle before they could possess it? It is because the enemy does not quietly relinquish his hold on any land. He will fight to maintain his hold until the saints arise in consistent assault against the gates of hell.

It is time for the manifestation of the sons of God. Individually, and corporately, there must be constant binding of the forces of Satan troubling Nigeria. The name of the Lord has been given to the saints in 1 Jn. 3:8 for this assignment. It is written, _”For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”_ The saints have authority to destroy the works of Satan in Nigeria. That authority must be enforced through spiritual warfare. The battle for the soul of Nigeria is not just physical and political, it is also spiritual. _”We wrestle not against flesh and blood”_ (Eph. 6:12).

God bless Nigeria.
