FRSC Elevates 120 Senior Officers in Major Promotion Drive to Strengthen Leadership

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has promoted 120 senior officers across various ranks in a significant move aimed at reinforcing leadership capacity and enhancing operational efficiency within the Corps.
The promotion, approved by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and effective from January 1, 2026, underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to rewarding excellence, professionalism, and long-standing service in public institutions.
A breakdown of the exercise shows that 19 officers were elevated to the rank of Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM), 55 Deputy Corps Commanders (DCC) advanced to Corps Commander (CC), while 46 Assistant Corps Commanders (ACC) were promoted to Deputy Corps Commander (DCC).
Among those elevated to the prestigious rank of Assistant Corps Marshal are A. Oki, N.S. Joseph, C.Z. Mathew, S.E. Dawulung, F.A. Ogidan, A.O. Ruka, A.O. Ugah, U.E. Oji, I.M. Bazzama, F.N. Theman, O.E. Joseph, R.E. Akpabio, U.B. Amaechi, A. Owolabi, Leye Adeboboye, M.O. Egbe, B.S. Akanji, F.O. Etta, and K. Tsukwan.
Speaking on the development, the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, described the promotion as a reflection of the Corps’ unwavering commitment to discipline, structured career growth, and institutional excellence. He urged the newly promoted officers to justify the confidence placed in them by demonstrating greater dedication, professionalism, and leadership in their respective roles.
He further noted that elevation within the Corps comes with increased responsibility, calling on the officers to deploy their experience toward advancing FRSC’s mandate of reducing road traffic crashes and ensuring safer roads nationwide.
The Corps also directed that all promoted officers refrain from wearing their new ranks until they are formally decorated, in line with established procedures.
The promotion exercise marks another milestone in FRSC’s ongoing efforts to build a highly motivated and result-driven workforce committed to saving lives on Nigerian roads.
