NACCIMA Hosts Italian Ambassador at Abuja

The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), received in audience, the Ambassador of Italy to Nigeria, Mr. Roberto Mengoni, at the Abuja Corporate on Tuesday day 17th February 2026.
He was received by Amb. Janet Olisa, Special Adviser to the National President on International Affairs.
The Ambassador stated that a key priority of his mission is to promote Italian companies in Nigeria and position Nigeria as a strong destination for trade and investment. He highlighted recent engagements with Italian industries and proposed the organization of a Nigeria–Italy Business Forum in Nigeria to deepen bilateral business collaboration.
In her remarks, Amb. Janet Olisa reaffirmed NACCIMA’s readiness to partner with the Italian Embassy and emphasized the importance of hosting major business engagements in Nigeria.
She also highlighted NACCIMA’s strategic platforms, including:
Women’s Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (WCCIMA) – promoting women-led enterprises.
NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs (NYE) – supporting young entrepreneurs.
The NACCIMA GLOBAL Initiative – strengthening international business linkages and diaspora engagement.
Discussions also touched on sectoral collaboration in agriculture, infrastructure, and industry, as well as the need for stronger Nigeria–Italy business connectivity.
The meeting was cordial and forward-looking, with both sides expressing commitment to strengthening bilateral economic cooperation.
