The Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI), will on the 10th of December, 2025, convene a landmark Energy Security & Industrial Infrastructure Roundtable; a strategic gathering designed to address one of the most urgent determinants of Nigeria’s industrial compepitiveness: reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy for industry.

This high-level convening to be led by the Honourable Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh, will bring together leading voices across government, energy regulators, gas producers, power sector operators, industrial captains, development partners and other stakeholders. The Roundtable forms a core component of the Ministry’s broader implementation
of the Renewed Hope Industrialization Agenda, the National Industrial Policy (NIP 2025–2035), and the workstreams of the Industrial Revolution Work Group (IRWG): a multi-sectoral coalition driving Nigeria’s industrial resurgence.

Nigeria’s manufacturing and industrial base continues to bear the burden of high energy costs, inconsistent supply, and infrastructure constraints. These challenges directly affect the country’s productivity, job creation potential and global compepitiveness. The Roundtable will, therefore, serve as a soluOons-oriented pla\orm to harmonize perspectives, unlock bo]lenecks, and forge actionable pathways that can transform Nigeria’s energy-industry
nexus.
Key outcomes expected from the session include:
• A unified national framework for affordable, reliable power for industry;
• A strengthened pipeline of industrial gas supply solutions aligned with the National Gas Master Plan;
• A roadmap for industrial infrastructure modernizaOon across clusters and zones;
• Accelerated private-sector participation through incentives, financing, and risk-sharing instruments;
• Clear implementaOon commitments under the IRWG, backed by monitoring,
accountability, and delivery mechanisms.

Speaking ahead of the Roundtable, Senator John Owan Enoh affirmed that “Nigeria cannot industrialize on the foundation of an unreliable energy system. This Roundtable is a deliberate
step towards engineering the energy architecture our industries need to thrive, one that supports scale, efficiency, export growth, and sustainable jobs for Nigerians.”

The Roundtable will also feature technical presentations, conversations, and a communiqué outlining resolutions that will inform federal acOons and immediate next steps for the Ministry, stakeholders, and partners.

With this engagement, FMITI reinforces its commitment to building an industrial ecosystem where businesses flourish, investors find clarity and confidence, and Nigeria’s economic transformaion becomes inevitable.
