The Nigerian Meteorological Agency Weather forecast from Monday 29th September to Wednesday 1st October, 2025.

Day 1: Monday 29th September, 2025.
Northern Region:
Sunny skies with patches of clouds are expected over the northern region with prospects of isolated
thunderstorms accompanied by moderate rainfall over parts of Taraba and Adamawa states during the
morning hours. Later in the afternoon/evening periods, isolated thunderstorms with moderate rains are
expected over parts of Southern Adamawa, Southern Zamfara, Kaduna, Kebbi, Southern Sokoto and
Taraba states.
Central Region:
Cloudy atmosphere with intervals of sunshine is anticipated over the central region within the morning
hours. Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms with moderate rains are anticipated over parts of Niger,
Kwara, Benue, Kogi, Plateau, Nasarawa and the Federal Capital Territory.
Southern Region:
Cloudy atmosphere is anticipated over the southern region with prospects of intermittent rains over parts
of Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Edo, Imo, Ebonyi, Lagos, Delta, Rivers, Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa states
during the morning hours. In the afternoon/evening period, isolated thunderstorms with moderate rains
are envisaged over most part of the southern region.
Day 2: Tuesday 30th September, 2025.
Northern Region:
Cloudy atmosphere with intervals of sunshine is expected over the northern region with prospects of isolated thunderstorms accompanied by moderate rainfall over parts of Southern Adamawa and Taraba states during the morning periods. Later during the afternoon/evening period, isolated thunderstorms with moderate rains are expected over parts of Southern Zamfara, Adamawa, Kebbi, Sokoto, Taraba, Bauchi and Kaduna states.
Central Region:
Cloudy atmosphere with intervals of sunshine is expected to prevail over the central region during the morning hours. Later in the afternoon/evening hours, isolated thunderstorms with moderate rains are expected over parts of Niger, Kwara, Kogi, Benue, Nasarawa and the Federal Capital Territory states.
Southern Region:
Cloudy atmosphere is anticipated over the southern region with prospects of intermittent rains over parts
of Edo, Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa, Ogun, Lagos, Cross River and Akwa Ibom states during the morning hours.
Later during the afternoon/evening period, isolated thunderstorms with moderate rains are anticipated
over most parts of the southern region.
Day 3: Wednesday 1st October, 2025. Northern Region:
Cloudy atmosphere with intervals of sunshine is envisaged over the northern region with chances of isolated thunderstorms accompanied by moderate rainfall over parts of Southern Adamawa and Taraba states during the morning hours. In the afternoon/evening periods, isolated thunderstorms with moderate rains are expected over parts of Southern Borno, Kebbi, Taraba, Adamawa and Kaduna states.
Central Region:
Cloudy atmosphere with intervals of sunshine is anticipated over the central region with prospects of
isolated thunderstorms over parts of Niger, Nasarawa, Kogi and Plateau states during the morning hours.
Later in the afternoon/evening hours, isolated thunderstorms with moderate rains are expected over
parts of Benue, Plateau, Kogi, Nasarawa, Niger, Kwara and the Federal Capital Territory. Southern Region:
Cloudy skies are envisaged over the southern region with prospects of intermittent rains over parts of
Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Delta and Lagos states during the morning hours. In the
afternoon/evening periods, thunderstorms with moderate rains are anticipated over most part of the
region.
Advisory
i. Driving under rain should be with caution.
ii. To avoid leaching of nutrients, farmers should refrain from applying fertilizer and pesticides right before
the rains.
iii. Ensure that loose objects are fastened to avoid collision.
iv. Disconnect electrical appliances from electrical sockets.
v. Stay away from tall trees to avoid impact from falling branches and broken trees.
vi. Airline operators are advised to get airport-specific weather reports (flight documentation) from NiMet
for effective planning in their operations.
