Nigeria and Colombia Launch Strategic Partnership for Inclusive Growth: An Overview

Abuja, Nigeria – In a significant move to foster economic cooperation and development, Nigeria and Colombia have announced the establishment of a strategic partnership aimed at promoting inclusive growth and sustainable development.

The epoch making event was officially opened for business by the Vice President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Senator, Kashim Shettima and his Colombian counterpart, Her Excellency Francia Márquez on Monday.

Two Panel Sessions were held:
1. From Value Chains to Competitiveness: Strengthening Nigeria- Colombia Strategic Cooperation acriss Core Economic Sectors
2. Empowering Innovation: Creative Industries, Skills Development and Inclusive Economic Growth.

Relevant Ministries/ Agencies and Organizations covering discussions on Political Consultations, Women’s Empowerment, Trade, Cultural & Creative Industry, Agriculture & Food Processing, Aviation,  Visa Issues, the Private Sector and other Non Governmental Organizations from both were present.

Both countries explored opportunities for mutual economic growth, focusing on sectors such as agriculture, energy, and technology.

Nigeria and Colombia aim to increase bilateral trade and investment, leveraging their respective strengths to drive economic development.
