Olufemi Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer NNPC Ltd, Abuja, made this known in a release on May 29.
The video is AI-generated and features a cloned voice of the NNPC Ltd CEO.
NNPC Ltd clarifies that it has no investment initiative matching the description in the video.
The company urges the public to disregard the video and be cautious of fraudulent activities.
NNPC Ltd warns the perpetrators to cease their actions or face legal consequences.
