Prince Estifanos Matewos Congratulates President Trump on Inauguration, Advocates Stronger U.S.-Africa Ties

In a royal gesture of goodwill, His Imperial Highness Prince Estifanos Matewos of the Ethiopian Solomonic Dynasty has extended his congratulations to President Donald J. Trump on his historic reelection and second-term inauguration.
In a statement issued from his office on Tuesday, Prince Estifanos commended President Trump’s vision for fostering global peace and security, while expressing optimism about strengthening U.S.-Africa relations based on mutual respect and fairness.
The prince reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the Trump administration to promote peace in Africa and prosperity for all, along with other matters of mutual interest.
Prince Estifanos recalled the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of African Affairs initiatives, particularly the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). These initiatives, he noted, are key to driving economic partnerships and fostering trade-driven prosperity across the continent.
His Imperial Majesty also used the opportunity to advocate for Africa’s inclusion as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), urging President Trump’s support for the African Union’s bid.
Recognized for his contributions to African unity and development, Prince Estifanos was named among the MIPAD Global 100 Under 40 in Politics and Governance in 2024.
As President and Ambassador of the United Africa Royal Assembly and a representative at the Pan-African Parliament, he is regarded as one of Africa’s youngest and most influential leaders actively shaping the continent’s future.
In 2024, his contributions to international relations were further acknowledged when he was proclaimed an honorary citizen of Georgia, USA, granting him the rights and privileges of a Goodwill Ambassador from the state.
With his continued engagement in diplomacy, economic development, and pan-African advocacy, Prince Estifanos remains a key figure in forging stronger ties between Africa and the global community.
