The African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU), Abuja, has established a Directorate for Professional Training Programmes (DPTP) to reinforce its commitment to capacity building in the aviation sector.

Since its commencement in 2023, AAAU has offered over 14 professional training courses tailored to the needs of aviation professionals.

The newly established Directorate for Professional Training Programmes (DPTP) will streamline and expand these offerings under the leadership of Mr. Aliyu Tata Azare, former Head of the Aviation Business Department as Director of the DPTP.

Mr Aliyu Tata Azare has over 15 years of expertise in designing and coordinating successful professional training programmes in aviation management.

He holds a Master of Science in Air Transport Management from Coventry University, UK, and is currently completing his PhD in Aviation Management at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia.

Tata brings a wealth of experience to the role, having successfully conducted professional training programmes for major agencies, including the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

This initiative underscores AAAU’s mission to enhance skill development and professional excellence within the aviation industry.

The university extends its best wishes to Mr. Tata as he assumes this pivotal role, setting the stage for AAAU, Abuja, to solidify its position as a leader in aviation training across Africa.
