Governor Otu, Sen. Akpabio and others attends Senator Ekpenyong’s Thanksgiving Service

The Cross River State Governor, His Excellency, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, Nigerian Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, and the Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey attended the Thanksgiving Service in Honour of the Senator representing Cross River Southern Senatorial District, Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong and baptism of his baby, Abasianam Asuquo Ekpenyong.
During the ceremony, the Prelate, His Eminence, Ekpenyong Akpanika, PhD, who gave the sermon of the day warned the audience against the thinking that their their successes were the results of their hard work. He encouraged them to emulate the grateful leper who was healed with nine others by the Lord Jesus.
The twin event which was held at the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Duke Town Cathedral, Calabar, had in attendance over 20 Senators and their beloved wives.
The Wife of the Senate President, Mrs Unoma Akpabio, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, Immediate Past Deputy Governor of the State, Prof. Ivara Esu, his dear wife, Mrs Omotunde Ivara Esu, State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Barr. Alphonsus Eba also witnessed the Carnival-like and colourful event.
Other dignitaries who graced the occasion include serving and former National Assembly members, State House of Assembly members, federal and state appointees, traditional, religious and political leaders, business tycoons as well as captains of industries and party faithful, supporters among others.
