FAKE NEWS: Dana Air says there was no engine explosion as alleged by online post

Dana Air has denied an online post suggesting that one of their aircraft engines exploded shortly before take off.

A release made available to News Dot Africa by the Head, Corporate Communications of Dana Airlines Ltd, Kingsley Ezenwa stated this on Wednesday,

Kingsley explained that on the 22nd of November,2023, there were some operational challenges and non- scheduled maintenance of our aircraft which led to the disruption of our schedule.

“While passengers on the affected flights have been provided options and issues resolved, we are still wondering where this Twitter user got his fake news from”, he exclaimed.

He reaffirms that at Dana Air, the safety of staff and customers remains a top priority while urging the public and discerning minds to disregard the fake news which is obviously attention-seeking and malicious.
