REUNION: AUD constructs, commissions Project

The 1998 set of Ansar-ud-Deen high school, Ikole Ekiti, Ekiti State recently constructed and commissioned the roundabout in front of the school’s administrative block.
In a statement by the President of the reunion, Mr Olaisade Makinwa, who was represented by his vice, Ms Odunayo Ogundipe, thanked God for the successful completion of the project adding that the project was “commissioned by our fathers who also graduated from the same school including Christian and Islamic clerics such as Pastor Busari Rufai, The General Overseer of the Believers Church of Jesus Christ (INC.), Ikole-Ekiti and the Grand Chief Imam of Ansar-Un-Deen Central Mosque Ikole Ekiti, Alhaji AbdulAzeez Alabi, prayed for the set for more grace and promotion in their businesses and offices.

Busari said the AUD was a great school as at 1959 because it was the only Muslim school in the old Ondo state where students come to learn.
A member of the set, Mr Gbenga Adisa, who spoke to our correspondent, said: “Thank God for this year’s reunion. Though we might not be many, there was no carry over. God bless everyone that attended. We could not attend but we were there in the spirit, thank God for the commissioning of the project and I pray that many that contributed to the success of the project, may Almighty God bless them. I know that next year’s reunion will be great by the grace of God. Those who have nothing to do now this coming March, my God will bless them. Thank you and God bless you all. You guys did very well thank you.”
After commissioning of the project some of the reunion members including Mrs Falilat Adedayo, from Lagos and Mr Olusola Ejire, Tope Afolabi Ado Ekiti, also Mrs Nimota Onipede, United Kingdom, on video call, rejoiced with those present, saying 2023 will be better than 2022.
Another old student of the school, Mr Abayomi Ogunsan, who commended appreciated the leadership of this association; said: “They have done so much and extensively great during their first year.
“I will like to indeed renew my commitment to the association in the coming year. If you are also in my category, please let do things differently in the coming years.
“I don’t know if it is true that, some were scolded, offended, rejected and/or side-lined.”
“We should imbibe the spirit of renewing our relationship and attitudes.”
The General Secretary of the set Elijah Ogunyemi, in his remarks said: “The commissioning was a laudable one and it was proof that it was a special one.
“That you give to you God will increase your power in all parts. To those who came and to those who wish to come, but due to one reason or the other, I want to say thank you. To those who contributed to the success of the program I say a very big thank you for your cooperation and support.
