LET THE LAW BE ENCOMPASSING NOT ONE SIDED

Mike Ihezuo
The bill on sex for grade has passed 2nd reading in NASS. It focuses on the lecturers/teachers and students.
Hey, bad as what led to it is, make we ‘no’ over-flog this students-lecturers transaction of sex for grade/mark. What of sex for favour? Sex for empowerment? Sex for job? Sex for appointment? Sex for acting role? .
I’m only thinking aloud!
Ours is a society where people leave an elephant issue and prosecute a rat matter. Sexual harassment or intimidation is a power game. He who has the power plays it! Lecturers are just one-in-many: power of mark/grade.  Incidentally, among those who use this sex for power, lecturers could be the weakest, not as powerful as politicians, business moguls, film producers and directors, etc. Is the society assuming it that they are or is making them most sinners?
I’m still thinking aloud!
Hey, I’m not a disciple of sanctity and sanity, but an apostles of it, I’m not a moralist, not even religious, but a spiritual, I’m not a supporter, but a protagonist of decent behaviourism.
Some film producers can apply sex for role to give out a role.
Some politicians can use sex for appointment/empowerment to constituents.
Some Human Resources Managers deploy sex for employment for giving jobs.
Sex is a big currency. The abuse is unavoidably becoming commonplace.
The fact is that this bill should be encompassing – extending to every sector where *sex for favour* can be applied including contracts/biddings. Have you considered why some organizations eg banks use highly profiled sexy bodied staff for marketing while the low profile ones are on operations’ desk? Is it not *sex for customer?*
Still thinking aloud!
I believe law should look into why ‘favour’: marks, grade, roles, jobs, appointments, etc are sought for without due process or merit. The legal committee should expand the scope to cover above mentioned areas and *why?*.
I believe the law should strengthen merit, qualification, repeat of exams [not sex in exchange] when one fails.
I believe the accomplice [sex partner] need deterrent/punishment also as it takes two to tangle. If you punish the lecturer that is convicted by law, punish the student that is convicted or facilitated it. No sex harassment that is performed alone.
