ENGR OKHIRIA OF THE NIGERIA RAILWAY CORPORATION GETS RENEWED TENUE OF FOURS YEARS

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Engr. Freeborn Edetanlaen Okhiria has been retained for another four years by President Muhammadu Buhari.

This is contained in a statement released by Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Transportation, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, in a statement made available this afternoon disclosed that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR vide letter Ref: No SH/COS/17/A/1698 dated 5th October, 2020 has approved the renewal of appointment of Engr. Freeborn Edetanlaen Okhiria, as the Managing Director/CEO of Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), in accordance with the relevant section of the Nigerian Railway Corporation Act. Cap 129, LFN, 2004.

Engr. Freeborn Okhiria who was first appointed as MD of the corporation on 24th October, 2016 will continue his tenure effective 20th October, 2020 for a second and final four (4) year tenure.
“President Muhammadu Buhari in a letter with reference number: SH/COS/17/A/1698 dated 5th October, 2020, has approved the renewal of appointment of Engr. Freeborn Edetanlaen Okhiria, as the Managing Director/CEO of Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC)”, she stated.
