The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, has reassured troops of the Nigerian Air Force’s (NAF) unwavering commitment to their welfare and operational effectiveness. This assurance was given during the 2025 Sallah Luncheon with troops of the Air Component, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, in Katsina State on March 31, 2025.
In a press release signed by Group Captain Kabiru Ali, Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information today, Air Marshal Abubakar, represented by Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Usman Kandi Abdullahi, commended the troops for their bravery, dedication, and professionalism in protecting the nation. He acknowledged the challenges they face and assured them that their sacrifices will not go unrecognized.
“The Nigerian Air Force is committed to providing the necessary support to ensure your welfare and operational effectiveness,” Air Marshal Abubakar stated. “Your relentless efforts have significantly degraded adversary capabilities, and we will continue to press forward with determination until total victory is achieved.”
The CAS also paid tribute to fallen heroes, describing their ultimate sacrifice as a source of inspiration. He expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Minister of Defence, the Minister of State for Defence, and the Chief of Defence Staff for their support.
The event concluded on a high note, fostering camaraderie and reinforcing the troops’ dedication to the ongoing fight against insecurity.
